A deal on creating a single eurozone banking supervisor looked closer Wednesday, after France and Germany offered joint compromise ahead of talks in Brussels, dpa reported. "We have worked out proposals," German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said, referring to an "interim ruling" that would pave the way for eventual treaty changes. "Our positions when we enter this meeting are closer than they were, but we must find an agreement not between us, but at 27," said French Finance Minister Pierre Moscovici, referring to all EU finance ministers attending the talks in Brussels.
