Gunmen in Naples, southern Italy, entered the courtyard of a nursery school while hundreds of children were in the building to kill a man in a suspected mafia turf war, dpa cited police as saying on Wednesday. Luigi Lucenti, 50, was initially only wounded by two men on a scooter who shot him near his home in Scampi, a suburb where killings between rival clans of the Camorra, the Neapolitan branch of the Italian mafia, have often taken place. Lucenti, who had previous convictions for organized crime and drug trafficking, managed to escape and tried hiding in the school. The man was chased and finished off in the courtyard of the building. -- SPA
