Serbia and Kosovo agreed to jointly manage crossings at their border, said the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, after she brokered talks between the countries' premiers late Tuesday. Prime Ministers Ivica Dacic and Hashim Thaci confirmed the deal, under which four of the six points on the boundary between Serbia and Kosovo would become operational by December 31, Ashton was quoted as saying by DPA. The two sides also agreed to exchange liaison officers. The next meeting of the prime ministers was scheduled for January 17, Ashton said.
