Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation "Kahramaa" is set to unveil a 200-megawatt project to generate power from solar energy. The eight-year project is part of Kahramaa's initiative to make smart use of the vacant electricity and water infrastructure through setting up solar panels and concentrated-solar technology systems. The project will be launched tomorrow at a press conference on the sidelines of the ongoing climate conference in Doha in the presence of Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada, the Qatari Minister of Energy and Industry and the President of Kahramaa. The press briefing will also give details on the strategic objectives of the project as well as its implementation program, according to a report of Qatar News Agency (QNA).
