Minister of Health and Executive Chairman of Council of Arab Health Ministers Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah said Saudi Arabia follows with concern the rising rate of infection of HIV "AIDS" in some countries in the region, especially among the groups most vulnerable to the disease, in addition to the increased mortality due to the disease. This came in an address of the Minister of Health delivered on his behalf by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for public health Dr. Ziad Memesh here Sunday evening during the opening ceremony of the first meeting of the technical committee for the formulation of the Arab strategy for combating AIDS under the umbrella of the Arab League in cooperation with the Regional Office of the United Nations Joint Programme on AIDS and the World Health Organization. The ceremony was attended by a number of experts and delegates from organizations and activists in the fight against AIDS. The meeting aims at exchanging expertise among Arab countries and reaching a viable means to reduce the spread of the disease.
