Mexican President-elect Enrique Pena Nieto will be in Washington four days before his own inauguration to meet with US President Barack Obama on Tuesday. In a regional tour that is also to take him Wednesday to Ottawa for a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Pena Nieto's agenda is focused on competitiveness and security, according to a report of DPA. The United States and Canada are Mexico's partners in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The centrist Pena Nieto, 46, a lawyer by training and former governor of the state of Mexico adjoining the capital city, is to take office on December 1 as Mexican President Felipe Calderon, a conservative, finishes his term. Mexican presidents are limited to one six-year term.
