Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi met here today with visiting U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in the presence of Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, respectively Mohammed Kamil Amr and Ann Paterson. During the meeting, means conducive fending off escalation in Gaza Strip were discussed in order to move ahead in implementing ceasefire there towards bringing about comprehensive peace and stability in the region. Earlier in the day, Clinton has arrived here, coming from Ramallah, where she met with Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas, following meetings with a number of Israeli leaders. On the other hand, Morsi is set to meet with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, who is expected to come back to Cairo, following a visit to Israel as well as Palestinian territories. -- SPA
