Nine Palestinians were killed Saturday and many more injured in the fourth day of Israeli air assault on the Gaza Strip raising the death toll to 40 including six children, four women, and five elderly, and more than 400 injured, according to medical sources. An Israeli airstrike on Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, Saturday left five Palestinians dead and many more injured, some critical, said medical sources. An earlier strike on Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip killed three people, said medical sources. Another Palestinian was killed early Saturday in an airstrike that targeted a motorcycle in Tel Al-Sultan area of Rafah, said medical sources. A child was severely injured and his leg was amputated, they said. According to WAFA, an airstrike late Friday on Maghazi refugee camp killed four Palestinians, three of whom were brothers. Airstrikes destroyed Friday the premises of the Hamas government in Gaza City and the residence of Hamas leader Ibrahim Salah causing heavy damage to the buildings. The Israeli air force has also targeted the police buildings in Gaza and the football stadium destroying both locations. Explosions were heard throughout the Gaza Strip as the airstrikes continued Saturday at various locations, targeting people, buildings and government offices.
