Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence, received here today the Commander of U.S. Central Command General James Mattis, and his accompanying delegation. At the beginning of the reception, the Crown Prince asked the U.S. official to convey his greetings and congratulations to U.S. President Barack Obama on the occasion of his election as President of the United States of America for a second term, wishing him and the U.S. friendly people further progress and prosperity. The Crown Prince stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on continuing support for close and historical relations between the two countries in all fields. During the meeting, they discussed prospects of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the military field. The audience was attended by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Special Adviser and Supervisor of the Office and Special affairs of the Crown Prince; Chief of General Staff, General Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Qabil; Director General of the Office of Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Bunyan; and Charge D'affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh Thomas Williams.
