German economic growth slowed in the third quarter on fallout from the eurozone debt crisis, data released Thursday showed and quoted by dpa. The statistics office said gross domestic product (GDP) in Europe's biggest economy expanded 0.2 per cent quarter-on-quarter. The figure compared with a 0.3-per-cent growth rate in the second quarter. The German economy expanded 0.5 per cent in the first three months of the year. Analysts had predicted that third-quarter GDP would come in at 0.1 per cent.
