AlHijjah 28, 1433, Nov 13, 2012, SPA - Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), and the President of Board of Trustees of Smithsonian Institution Wayne Clough, will inaugurate in Washington, DC, on Thursday "Saudi Archaeological Masterpieces Exhibition Through The Ages" at Smithsonian Museum. The Smithsonian Museum is the fifth leg of the Exhibition which the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has approved as part of his endorsement to showcase it also in a number of European capitals and major cities in the United States of America. The Exhibition in Washington, DC, on its first leg in the United States of America, will display more than 320 pieces of antiquities. The two-year long Exhibition, after its display in Washington, DC, will also be staged in four museums in other states of the United States of America. It is noteworthy that the Exhibition has been held so far in France, Spain, Russia, and Germany, and attracted more than 1.5 million visitors.
