AlHijjah 26, 1433, Nov 11, 2012, SPA - The President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel said that the City has provided an amount of SR 574 million for supporting 193 researches in the field of nanotechnology in various research bodies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In his opening speech of 2nd Saudi International Nanotechnology Conference 2012 AD organized here today by the City, Dr. Al-Suwaiyel pointed out that that the City has initiated executive steps to transfer this technology and facilitate its indigenization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting in this regard the establishment of The National Center for Nanotechnology. The opening ceremony of the three-day Conference was attended by Prince Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed, the City's Vice President for Research Institutes, and Vice President for Scientific Research Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Suwailem.
