At Least 23 Dead As Heavy Rains Lash Southern India

AlHijjah 20, 1433, Nov 5, 2012, SPA - At least 23 people have been killed and nearly 70,000 evacuated during floods in India's southern state of Andhra
Pradesh, officials said Monday.
Heavy rains brought by Cyclone Nilam last week inundated about 150 villages in eight coastal districts, disrupted road and rail traffic and damaged crops, according to a report of DPA.
