AlHijjah 18, 1433, Nov 3, 2012, SPA -- More than 478,000 pilgrims left Makkah to either Jeddah King Abdulaziz International airport or Jeddah Islamic port on a newly-introduced e-departure system, officials said today. Dr. Isa Rawas, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj for Umrah Affairs, said the successfully-managed e-system links the departure sites in Makkah with the airport and seaport, giving the availability of flight seats and vessel vacancies together with their departure details. Accordingly, no jams were seen at the departure points, thanks to the bus stations punctual schedules.
