At 04:50 Moscow time this Saturday, the 1,000-mm pipe ruptured in the Shcholkovo district, the Moscow Region. The gas bursts into flame. It occurred on the Oborniki-Shitnikovo branch of the gas main. The accident took place near the Almaz-1 gardeners' village. The flame was ten meters high and then down to three meters. The fire is localized. Ten country houses burned up, the source said. The nearest settlement of Almazovo was not affected. Gas is supplied through reserve branches, but according to the Emergencies Ministry, the accident may leave Balashikha, Monino and Chernoye without gas.
