AlHijjah 7, 1433, Oct 23, 2012, SPA -- Nutrition Consultant at Al-Amal Complex for Mental Health in Riyadh Dr. Adel Badr advised pilgrims to drink a lot of water, fresh juice and dairy products in order to compensate for water lost by the body while performing Hajj rituals. He also advised pilgrims to avoid caffeine products such as tea and coffee, as they cause diuresis and further loss of body fluids. Dr. Adel also said "While performing Hajj rituals, the human body needs adequate amounts of vitamins," calling on diabetes patients to eat a snack and drink water before performing Hajj rituals and to have a rest if they feel tired.
