The NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist telephone poll of 1,103 likely voters, taken Oct. 15-17, indicates Obama is holding a lead over the Republican challenger, while Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., is leading Republican former Gov. Tommy Thompson in the race for the Senate seat being vacated by retiring Democrat Herb Kohl, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Friday. The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
