AlHijjah 2, 1433, Oct 18, 2012, SPA -- A line of strong storms causing heavy winds and possible tornadoes moved across the U.S. Southeast late Wednesday and early Thursday, injuring seven in Mississippi and downing power lines and trees, authorities said Thursday. Almost 900 customers lost electricity in Arkansas, where some buildings were damaged. Storms also affected western Tennessee, downing trees in a mobile home park north of Memphis and forcing some residents from their homes. Authorities in Louisiana reported trees down in at least two parishes and one home with a damaged roof. "These were severe storms that produced damaging winds," said Jeff Rent, a spokesman for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
