AlQa'dah 28, 1433, Oct 14, 2012, SPA -- The Libyan parliament this evening elected Ali Zaidan, a prominent opposition leader to the former regime of Muammar Al-Gaddafi, to set up an interim administration for Libya after having rejected to grant confidence to the crisis government which was proposed by Acting Prime Minister Mustafa Abu-Shagoor last week. With a 93-vote majority, the parliament chose Zaidan as new Prime Minister, and gave his rival Mohammed Al-Harari 85 votes. Zaidan should present his crew to get the parliament confidence within 15 days renewable for another ten days, otherwise he would be considered relieved of his post according to parliament regulations.
