AlQa'dah 19, 1433, Oct 5, 2012, SPA -- A visit to Libya by French Foreign Minister LaurentFabius has been cancelled due to a stand-off in the northern African country over the formation of a new government, reported the independent newspaper Libya Herald on Friday. The visit, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, was called off at the last minute at the request of the Libyan authorities, according to the report. They told France that, without a new government in place, Fabius' visit would be pointless. Libya's prime minister-elect, Mustafa Abu Shagur, Thursday withdrew a proposed cabinet line-up after it failed to get the approval of the National Congress, the country's highest authority.
