AlQa'dah 17, 1433, Oct 3, 2012, SPA -- The 59th session of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the Middle East began here today. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, Minister of Health, led the Kingdom's delegation to the meetings. In his speech before the WHO regional committee, Dr. Al-Rabiah said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keenness to combat noncommunicable diseases, pointing out that the Kingdom has contributed actively in the regional and international conferences in this field. The 59th Session of the WHO Regional Committee will discuss issues pertaining to health system strengthening, maternal, reproductive and child health and nutrition, noncommunicable diseases, communicable diseases and emergency preparedness and response.
