AlQa'dah 16, 1433, Oct 2, 2012, SPA - The number of Syrians who have fled their country has tripled since June and has now climbed to 312,000, the UN refugee agency said Tuesday in Geneva, according to DPA. The 312,000 refugees in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey and the hundreds of thousands who are expected to follow need international aid as the winter approaches, said Adrian Edwards, spokesman of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). "We are in a race against time," Edwards said.
