AlQa'dah 12, 1433, Sep 28, 2012, SPA -- An estimated 30 people were thought to be still missing Friday after a ferry collided with a cargo tanker and sank off Indonesia's Sumatra island this week, dpa quoted a rescue official as saying. Eight people were killed in the accident on Wednesday and more than 200 people were rescued, but the exact number of passengers on the ferry was unclear and officials feared some had been trapped. The search for more victims continued Friday, focusing on the location of the ship, said Saidar Rahman Jaya, the local head of the search and rescue agency. Jaya said the agency had received reports of 30 missing people from families whose relatives might have been on the ferry. The ferry was travelling from Merak port on Java to Bakauheni in southern Sumatra.
