AlQa'dah 5, 1433, Sep 21, 2012, SPA -- Thousands of people on Friday held peaceful demonstrations in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur to protest a US-made video that allegedly insulted Prophet Mohammed, according to dpa. Prime Minister Najib Razak condemned the video and described it as "deeply offensive" to Islam but he urged fellow Muslims to remain calm and not resort to violence to show their dissatisfaction over the film, titled Innocence of Muslims. "Now, more than ever, each of us has a responsibility to work together for greater respect, tolerance and understanding so we may live in harmony," he said in a statement. More than 5,000 people gathered near the US embassy and at a nearby mosque to express their anger over the video. The embassy closed its offices in the morning ahead of the rally.
