Prince William and his wife Kate on Friday visited Malaysia's biggest mosque in the capital of Kuala Lumpur, according to dpa. The duchess of Cambridge wore a headscarf during the visit to the Assyakirin Mosque in the city centre near the landmark Petronas Twin Towers. The royal couple then went to a nearby park where they were greeted by a large crowd. They were to visit the adjacent Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre before flying to the eastern state of Sabah later in the afternoon. William and Kate will spend Saturday in Sabah's Danum Valley, one of the few remaining primary, or old-growth forests in the world, before flying to the Solomon Islands early Sunday. The duke and duchess of Cambridge arrived in Malaysia Thursday on the second leg of their nine-day tour to the Far East, after a visit to Singapore.
