At least 18 Syrian soldiers were killed and dozens injured Wednesday in a car bombing in the northern province of Idlib, the opposition Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. The London-based organization said the attack was carried out by opposing fighters near a military outpost in the region of Saraqeb. The military checkpoint in the area was "completely destroyed" in the attack, it was quoted as saying by dpa.
