Rabiah called for joint works to strengthen the existing bridges of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Egypt and to open up new avenues of cooperation with a perspective of improving bilateral ties and benefitting positively the two brotherly peoples. He stressed that the coming period will witness a new and unique phase of strategic relations between the two countries. "The volume of Saudi-Egyptian trade exchanges amounted to about 29 billion Egyptian pounds last year, showing a hike of 12 percent compared to the previous year," Dr. Al-Rabiah disclosed. In the field of investment, he said the number of Saudi projects established in Egypt reached more than 2,743 projects covering sectors like industry, finance, tourism, construction, agriculture, services, communications and other activities. Dr. Al-Rabiah called on Egyptian businessmen and their Saudi counterparts to start building new investment partnerships accompanied by the transfer of technology and the adoption of new ideas to diversify investments and to take advantage of investment opportunities and incentives available in the two brotherly countries. --More
