Torrential rain and flashfloods in Pakistan have led to 80 deaths and left hundreds homeless, disaster management authorities said Monday. The deluges that began at the weekend caused havoc in the northwestern province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. "Flooding and rain-related accidents have left 80 people dead and several dozen injured across the country over the past three days," said Irshad Bhatti, a spokesman for the National Disaster Management Authority. He attributed most of the causalities to roof collapses and raging torrents of floodwater, according to a report of dpa.
