A delegation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has arrived in Seoul to take part in a seminar on enhancement of municipal system in the areas of construction and transportation. The delegation is led by Dr. Abdullah Ghareeb Al-Baloushi, Managing Director of the Municipal Affairs Support Sector at the UAE Department of Municipal Affairs ( DMA). It takes part in the seminar, which opens later today and runs for five days in response to an invitation from South Korean Minister of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs Kwon Do-youp, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM." During the seminar sessions, administrative officials of both countries will discuss ways to enhance cooperation and exchange knowledge and experience in the areas of municipal system. "The visit will also provide an opportunity for the UAE and South Korea to further expand areas of bilateral cooperation between the two sides as their relationship witnessed tremendous growth in all sectors; economic, trade and investment during the last few years," Al-Baloushi said. In 2011, the trade volume between the two countries increased by 24% to reach $23 billion and further growth is expected in the current year," he added.
