The Interior Ministry has warned citizens against traveling to Ethiopia. The warning was based on the cable of the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Addis Ababa due to the current conditions prevailing in Ethiopia, the current internal tension, clashes that occur from time to time among members of the federal police and Muslims and arrests made by police every day and which included some Saudi citizens who are present at the venues of those events in good faith as some of them distribute aid despite the embassy's cautioning to them. The warning will be in effect until things calm down. It is due to concern for the Saudi citizens and their safety.
