Two earthquakes killed at least 64 people, injured 715 and forced the evacuation of 201,000 on Friday in a mountainous area of south-western China's Yunnan province. The two quakes, which hit within an hour, destroyed 1,900 houses and seriously damaged 37,000 others in Yiliang county and nearby areas, the provincial government reported. About 5,600 members of police and civilian rescue teams were working in the area by late Friday evening, it said.
