Quds, Shawwal 7, 1433, Aug 25, 2012, SPA - British Foreign Office Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt expressed deep concern over the Israeli government's decision to build 130 housing units in Har Homa settlement south of East Al-Quds, according to a statement released by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on Friday. “The recent announcement by the Israeli authorities to tender for the construction of 130 new housing units in the illegal settlement of Har Homa is extremely worrying," said Burt in the statement. “We have expressed deep concern following previous announcements of construction in Har Homa and I am very disappointed that the construction of this illegal settlement has continued," he added. “We condemn the systematic settlement construction that is undermining the possibility of a two state solution. I call for this decision to be rescinded," said the statement quoted by Palestine News and Information Agency "WAFA".
