Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sacked Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov on Monday, the Interfax news agency reported. According to dpa, Martynov's replacement will be Vladimir Makey, formerly the head of the administration of the Belarusian President, the report said. Martynov had served as Belarus' top diplomat since 2003. He was removed from his post so he could "be transferred to other work," the statement said.
