Two people were killed in as many car bombings Sunday in the centre of Tripoli. One of the car bombs exploded outside a military academy on Omar Mokhtar Avenue, a main road in the capital, said Omar al-Khadrawi,the undersecretary of the Libyan Interior Ministry. Two people died and three others were slightly injured in that attack. The second car exploded near the building housing the Interior Ministry, leaving one person injured, according to al-Khadrawi. Al-Khadrawi said state security services were in "full control" of the city.
