US greets Egypt's new defence team

The White House on Monday said it looked forward to working with Egypt's new defence minister, Lieutenant General Abdul-Fatah al-Sessi, and expressed hope for Cairo's future rapport with Egypt's neighbors.
Jay Carney, spokesman for US President Barack Obama, said the US hoped that the defence shake-up by Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi “will serve the interests of the Egyptian people and maintain good relations with Egypt's neighbors.
