Sudan government has accepted a proposal submitted by African Union's mediator Thabo Mbeki that Sudan and South Sudan leaders meet later. Sudan radio said today that Sudan's negotiating delegation, currently holding talks with its South Sudan's counterpart in Addis Ababa, has accepted an AU's proposal that President Omer Al-Bashir of The Sudan and President Salva Kiirr of South Sudan hold face-to-face talks to help reach agreement between the two countries on all lagging thorny issues before the United Nations Security Council's deadline. The statement, which was delivered to the African mediating team in Addis Ababa, said that the two parties should take the chance from now until the two president's meeting to narrow the gap between them to make the Sudanese summit a success.
