Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and Japan's Representative to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) Naofumi Hashimoto Sunday signed an agreement under which Japan grants PNA $10 million in budget support, according to a statement by the Representative Office of Japan. It said the grant was extended as a part of international supports to alleviate PNA's financial difficulties. In return, PNA will use the grant to procure commodities critically needed for daily economic activities in the Palestinian Territory, the statement was quoted as saying by Palestine News and Information Agency "WAFA".
