President Asif Ali Zardari has formally invited Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to visit Pakistan, a spokesman said on Saturday. "The President expressed the hope that the intensity and engagements will help promote our ties in the right direction and help in realizing our shared dream of a peaceful and prosperous South Asia," said Spokesman Farhatullah Babar. It would be the first visit to Pakistan by an Indian leader since former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpai's visit in 2004. Zardari visited India in April, according to a report of DPA.
