Kingdom's General Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, who is also Chairman of the Senior Ulema Commission and the Religious Research and Ifta Administration of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today lauded the call by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for holding an immediate fund-raising campaign throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of Syrian people. In a statement to the Saudi TV, Al Al-Sheikh said the call reflects the sincerity of the heart of the King and his keenness to cure the injuries and heal the wounds of the oppressed and the weak everywhere. Commenting on the monarch's call for convening an extraordinary Islamic Solidarity Conference in Makkah from 26-27 Ramadan this year, the Mufti said "this is a sincere and blessed call for leaders of our Islamic nation to come together and take the responsibility of working side by side for the interests of their nation".
