Malaysia ordered the immediate evacuation of its citizens and the closure of its embassy in Syria amid escalating conflict, the state-run Bernama News Agency said Sunday. "I feel our embassy in Syria ought to be closed immediately following the latest developments there," Prime Minister Najib Razak said. Foreign Minister Anifah Aman said there are 125 Malaysian students and 10 expatriates registered with the embassy in Syria. Anifah urged Malaysians in Syria who are not registered with the embassy to leave the country.
