Belgium called on its citizens in Syria to leave the country immediately, citing the deterioration of security situations there. In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry in Brussels, the Belgian government said all Belgians should evade travelling to Syria in the current time. However, those opt to stay in Syria should know that Consulate assistance for them would be very limited as the Belgian embassy in Damascus was closed several weeks ago, the Ministry added.
