The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense, have addressed the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan. Following is the full text of the address which was delivered on their behalf by the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja: "In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Praise be to God who said in the Holy Quran: 'Ramadan is the month in which was sent down the Quran, as a guide to mankind, also clear signs for guidance and judgment between right and wrong.' "May God's prayers and peace be upon Prophet Muhammad and his family, companions and followers. "Brothers and Sisters, "May God's peace, mercy and blessings be upon you all. Many Happy Returns. "We have received the blessed month of Ramadan for which souls and hearts are eagerly waiting. This is the month of empathy, compassion and solidarity. The Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad in a blessed night of the holy month of Ramadan that is better than thousand months. We are really pleased to receive this month. --More
