Efforts to mediate a resolution to the conflict in Syria have reached a decisive point, China said Monday ahead of a visit by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. Foreign Ministry Spokesman Liu Weimin said events such as an alleged massacre last should be investigated. "China urges all parties to stop the violence and implement the plan of the joint U.N.-Arab League Envoy For Syria, Kofi Annan," the Spokesman said. Ban Ki-moon will meet officials in Beijing on Tuesday during a two-day visit to discuss China's stance on the conflict, according to a report of DPA.
