Algerian Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci held talks here last night with his French counterpart, Laurent Fabius, who arrived earlier, on an official visit to Algeria. The talks were attended by official delegations of the two countries. Medelci and Fabius also held a closed-door meeting prior to the official talks, which focused on means of bolstering cooperation between the two countries. The talks also dealt with regional and international issues of common concern including the current situation in the Sahel region of Africa and the development in the Mediterranean.
