A boat with 27 people aboard capsized off New York's Long Island on Wednesday night, killing three people and throwing the other passengers watching Independence Day fireworks into the water, authorities said Thursday. The 12-meter vessel capsized in Oyster Bay Harbor. The Nassau County Police said three people died, while the U.S. Coast Guard reported two fatalities. Rescue teams pulled 25 people from the water, including one in critical condition, the Coast Guard said. An investigation is being conducted.
