Mauritania on Thursday agreed to extradite Abdullah al-Senussi, Moamer Gaddafi's intelligence chief, to Libya, the pan-Arab Al Arabiya broadcaster reported. An extradition deal was reached during negotiations with Libyan Prime Minister Abdurrahim al-Keib, who is visiting Mauritania, added the broadcaster, citing sources in Libya. There was no immediate official confirmation in Libya or Mauritania. The long-time spy chief disappeared from Libya after Gaddafi's fall last year. He was arrested in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott in March, after arriving on a flight from Morocco with a false Malian passport. Mauritanian authorities charged al-Senussia in May with attempting to enter the country on forged documents. Al-Senussi is also wanted by the International Criminal Court on charges of crimes against humanity for his role in suppressing a revolt that ended Gaddafi's 42-year rule. -- SPA
