Five climbers, including two teenagers, who died after they fell from a mountain in Switzerland were on Wednesday confirmed as German citizens, the German Foreign Ministry said. According to dpa, the climbers on Tuesday fell 400 metres off the Lagginhorn, a 4,000-metre peak near the Italian border. They include a 14-year-old teenager and her 19-year-old brother, whose father had stayed behind. The other three victims were identified as a 43-year-old man and his 16-year-old son, as well as another man aged 20. Rolf Trachsel, who led the rescue operation, said the climbers might have been hit by loose snow. The group's sixth climber, the father of two of the victims, had stopped his ascent because he did not feel well. He alerted rescuers after the incident.
