Oil fell below $84 a barrel Monday in Asia. Benchmark oil for August delivery was down $1.32 at $83.64 a barrel at late afternoon Singapore time in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. In London, Brent crude for August delivery was down $1.39 at $96.41 per barrel on the ICE Futures exchange. In other energy trading, heating oil was down 3 cents at $2.68 per gallon while gasoline futures fell 2.7 cents at $2.61 per gallon. Natural gas slid 1.7 cents at $2.81 per 1,000 cubic feet, according to a report of the Associated Press.
