German authorities say one person was killed and several injured in thunderstorms that swept parts of the country's south overnight. News agency 'dapd' (Deutscher Auslands-Depeschendienst) reported that police said that a 24-year-old woman was killed on a road near Guenzburg, in Bavaria, when an uprooted tree crashed into the roof of her car Saturday evening. Another driver was seriously injured, according to police, when her car skidded in hail and heavy rain on a highway near Wuerzburg, crashed into trees and turned over. Police said Sunday that 10 people were injured in Heidenheim, in southwestern Germany, when a storm swept away tents at a rock festival.
