Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has ordered the implementation of a major expansion of the Prophet's Mosque in Medina. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, the minister said that the Project of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for the Expansion of the Prophet's Mosque will be implemented in three phases. The first phase will accommodate more than eight hundred thousand worshipers, he said, adding that the second and third phases will accommodate eight hundred thousand additional worshippers.
